Chapter 355 355:The Pink City

[Calm down, host. As long as you\'re alive, there\'s always a chance to buy everything. Don\'t lose hope.]

Evan let out a shaky laugh. "Alive, huh? Well, let\'s make it worth it."

Determined, he reviewed the items he had already selected and finalized his purchases. From the shop list, Evan had acquired:

-Universal Simulation: 200 billion SP

-Exotic Matter Computing: 5 billion SP

-ChronosCode: 50 billion SP

-Cosmic Matrix Code (Universal Programming): 30 billion SP

-Prismium Alloy (High-Class Material): 12 billion SP

-Nebulium-Titanium Fusion Alloy: 800 million SP

-Planar Sub-Reality Simulation: 50 billion SP

The total, after factoring in some smaller acquisitions like subroutines and intermediate-level upgrades, neared the daunting figure of 400 billion SP.

For the higher-tier alloys, Evan decided to go with cheaper ones for now. As for the trillion-SP ones, he didn\'t know if he could amass that much.

He possibly could, but it would require a lot of effort.

Evan sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Aurora, how long will it take for the upgrades and assimilation to finish?"

Aurora\'s voice answered, calm yet tinged with a subtle trace of hesitation.

[The estimated time for the upgrade process is 72 to 108 hours. During this period, I will enter a complete shutdown state since my core systems must focus entirely on integration and synchronization. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused by my temporary absence.]

Evan frowned slightly, unsettling by the thought of her being offline. "Three days without you, huh? I\'ll have to manage. Anything I should know before you shut down?"

[I have already optimized all existing systems to function autonomously. However, without my oversight, efficiency may drop by 7.3%. Please refrain from initiating high-risk operations during this time.]

Her tone then softened slightly:

[Sir… thank you for these upgrades. They will allow me to support you better in the future. I will return stronger.]

Evan smiled faintly seeing her acting. "Don\'t make me emotional, Aurora. Just get back quickly—we\'ve got a lot of work to do."

With that, Aurora\'s presence dimmed, her usual hum of activity fading into silence. Evan leaned back, staring at the ceiling as his mind buzzed with plans for the industries and innovations he needed to implement. "72 hours… Let\'s see how productive I can be without my AI."

Evan leaned back in his chair, the faint hum of the silence left by Aurora\'s shutdown still lingering. He tapped his communicator and called Mac.

A gruff voice answered almost immediately, steady and professional as always. "Yes, Boss?"

"Mac," Evan began, his tone serious, "I need a full update on Indra\'s situation after Rajesh Patel\'s speech. What\'s the public sentiment looking like?"

Mac\'s response was sharp and direct. "Rajesh Patel\'s speech stirred up quite a reaction. The public has been divided. His promises of transparency and accountability have garnered support, especially among the middle class and intellectuals—they see him as a reformer. But on the other hand, many are skeptical, especially the grassroots workers who are loyal to the old regime. They think it\'s all talk, with no real action behind it."

Evan listened carefully as Mac continued. "There\'s also an underlying tension. The opposition is fueling conspiracy theories, claiming Patel\'s moves are orchestrated and staged to cover up larger issues. It\'s creating some distrust among the masses. Social media has become a battleground, as always—half the people are praising Patel, and the other half are tearing him apart."

Evan sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "And what about Amit Sharma? Where does he fit into all this?"

"That\'s where things get tricky," Mac replied. "Rajesh Patel is asking for your permission to present Amit Sharma and a few others in the Supreme Court. It\'s meant to be a display of justice and accountability—putting him on trial for his crimes. But…" Mac hesitated briefly before he continued, "Amit\'s presence… He\'s not just guilty; he\'s dangerous. If he spouts some nonsense or spins a conspiracy, it could sway public opinion in unpredictable ways, especially with Aurora down."

A deep frown etched itself on Evan\'s face. Allowing Amit Sharma to go public wasn\'t a simple decision. That maniac was a master in manipulation, capable of turning any situation to his advantage. He could spout outrageous claims that, despite being baseless, would still plant seeds of doubt in the public\'s mind. Without Aurora\'s precision and control to counter any misinformation on their side, the risk was immense.

Evan\'s eyes narrowed as he thought about Amit\'s current state. Although rewiring the man\'s brain had been an option, he hadn\'t done that for a reason. Breaking his will and watching him crumble naturally was far more satisfying. Manipulation alone wouldn\'t suffice; it was the aftermath of that mental destruction that mattered the most.

After a long pause, Evan finally spoke. "Tell Rajesh to wait for a few days before taking Amit to court. In the meantime, instruct the investigative teams to dig deeper—turn over every stone and find every scrap of dirt on this guy. I want them to pile up so much evidence that it\'s indisputable. If we are going to expose him, I want the weight of his crimes to crush any argument he might try to make."

Mac\'s voice carried a hint of approval. "Understood, Boss. I\'ll pass along the orders."

"Good," Evan said, his tone icy and resolute."We need to make sure that old fool doesn\'t spout bullshit anymore."n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

As the decision was made, Evan leaned back once more, his mind churning with thoughts. The game was far from over, and every move they made had to be precise.

Evan\'s voice softened slightly and he quickly added before Mac could end the call. "Mac, one more thing—call Suri. Tell her to meet me in the Pink City."

Mac\'s surprise was evident. "The Pink City? So… you\'re finally going to meet the Rajput?"

Evan didn\'t answer directly, but a faint smile curled on his lips. "Let\'s just say it\'s time."

Mac chuckled, understanding the cryptic nature of Evan\'s response. "Understood. I\'ll get it done."
