Chapter 304 Pirate Trouble-02

Chapter 304 Pirate Trouble-02

"Don\'t… move," Daniel signaled with his eyes and the tone of his voice, indicating that their leader\'s life was in his hands.

"Ok," Daniel raised his voice, scanning the surroundings. "Who can speak English?" he asked, but the pirates remained silent. Daniel then noticed one of them trying to position himself in his blind spot.

Bang!

In a split second, Daniel blew that pirate\'s head off, scattering blood and gray matter across the beach. The gruesome scene terrified the remaining pirates, nearly causing them to soil themselves.

In their eyes, Daniel\'s gun hadn\'t moved from their leader\'s head before they heard the gunfire, resulting in their comrade\'s horrific demise.

"This is what happens to someone who tries to do anything stupid!" Daniel shouted before continuing. "Ok! Who the heck can speak English?" Daniel, losing patience, wanted to dispatch these scoundrels quickly.

One of the pirates waved his hand, speaking in Japanese and pointing towards others hiding behind a plane wreckage on the beach that they were salvaging.

The hiding pirate raised his hands above his head and slowly emerged. This one looked different from the rest—his face was smooth, well-groomed, with no signs of stubble or a beard. He wore glasses, and only his slightly unkempt hair suggested forced labor.

"I… I can speak English! Foreigner! What do you want?" The English-speaking pirate asked Daniel, raising his hands and moving towards him.

"That\'s good… You!" Daniel pointed at the English speaker. "Stay right there, lie down on your stomach, and show your hands where I can see them." Daniel instructed, and the English-speaking pirate obediently followed.

While Daniel gave instructions, the other pirates whispered and signaled to each other. Suddenly, one of them, standing to Daniel\'s left, aimed his gun at him. Although this pirate\'s movements were faster than his peers, Daniel acted swiftly.

Bang!

Once again, a pirate\'s head was blown off. The other pirates, startled, chose to fight, refusing to believe that ten armed individuals couldn\'t bring down a single foreigner!

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Daniel rapidly fired his gun at the pirates who dared to fight. The large-caliber bullets bore sizable holes into the pirates\' torsos, obliterating them along with any illusion of armor they thought they wore. Against Daniel\'s special bullets, designed to dispatch vampires in a single shot, normal humans stood no chance. Their bodies were torn open, resembling the aftermath of being hit by heavy machine gun bullets.

With just one hand, Daniel didn\'t eliminate the pirates fast enough. He released the leader, pushed him to the ground, and used his free left arm to throw some throwing daggers, killing additional pirates attempting to fire at him.

Pierced!

One lucky pirate managed to fire at him, but Daniel\'s reflexes surpassed human capabilities. He quickly dodged and threw a few blade drones at the pirate.

Wrooooom! Slash! Slash! Slash!

The drones efficiently turned the targeted pirates into pieces. The blades on these drones cut through flesh and cheap Kevlar alike, effortlessly slicing through their bodies like a hot knife through butter. Some pirates tried to escape, but the drones followed, cutting them into two pieces.

Blood, gore, and innards fell to the ground as upper torsos separated from lower bodies, creating a horrifying scene that terrified the remaining pirates.

At this point, the pirates had no desire to fight anymore, but it was too late. Even if Daniel had intended to spare them, the blade drones he released were pre-programmed to eliminate all threats. Their path to survival was cut off, and Daniel had no intention of sparing them in the first place.

Within a short half-minute, the massacre ended, and the white sand turned red with blood, gore, and pirates\' innards. Now, only three pirates survived.

The first was, of course, the pirate who could speak English; the second was the pirate leader, and the last was a terrified pirate whom Daniel deliberately spared. The peculiar smell and wet patch from his crotch revealed the pathetic state of this once cocky pirate who thought they had the advantage.

"You! Do you want to live?" Daniel pointed at the pirate who could speak English.

"Yes! I… I want to live!" The English-speaking pirate quickly answered. Daniel nodded in understanding, then picked up a gun lying around and handed it to the English speaker.

"Kill him," Daniel instructed, pointing toward the pirate leader and signaling for the English speaker to eliminate him.

The English-speaking pirate was stunned, but upon glancing at his fearful leader, who began shouting something, it seemed more like a threat or blackmail. And it worked.

The English speaker appeared frightened, but then he looked toward Daniel with hopeful eyes.

"Can you help me?" The English-speaking pirate asked.

Daniel tilted his head. "What? You haven\'t proven useful yet, and now you want to ask for a favor from me?" He asked, his tone reluctant.

"Please!... Please!" The pirate quickly dropped to his knees and began begging with the traditional Japanese bow, surprising Daniel.

Observing the pirate, Daniel noticed that he seemed different from his peers. He lacked a weapon and appeared to be at a lower rung in the pirate group\'s hierarchy.

The pirate\'s tone, expression, and the hope in his eyes reminded Daniel of his past when he was a designer seeking a publisher willing to invest in him and his dream. There were many people he owed favors to and others he held grudges against in those days.

"Fine, if it\'s not too excessive, I\'ll help you," Daniel promised. His softer side surfaced, unable to resist helping someone who reminded him of his former self.

The English-speaking pirate smiled brightly, as if seeing hope for the first time in his life. Then he stood up, glancing toward the pirate leader. The leader tried to speak something, likely the same threat or blackmail, as Daniel noticed a lot of repeated words compared to before.

However, instead of hesitation and fear, pure rage displayed on the English speaker pirate\'s face before the gun in his hand unleashed his wrath.

Ratatatatatatatata!

"Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhgggghhhhhhhhhhhh Shineeeeeee—!!!!!!! kusottareeeeeee—!!!!"

The submachine gun in the English speaker pirate\'s hand rapidly sent bullets into his former leader\'s body, killing him on the spot.

Even when the magazine was emptied, the English speaker pirate seemed to still want to vent his rage. Daniel didn\'t know what happened in the past of this English speaker pirate, but this should be enough.

"Enough… He\'s dead," Daniel said and patted the English speaker\'s pirate\'s shoulder. The pirate then unleashed a cry as if all of his anger and frustration broke through the dam, crying out.

"You! Go!" Daniel used simple English, speaking to the last pirate. He wanted this pirate to go back and report to his remaining comrades.

The pirate quickly nodded in understanding and ran away, unaware that he was being followed by spy metal scarabs flying high above his head.

Daniel intended for the pirate to return to their main lair or wherever it was so he could follow him. He also wanted this pirate to report what happened to ensure the loyalty of the English speaker pirate. Daniel was certain that once this guy killed this lower-tiered leader, he wouldn\'t be able to return to their comrades.

Daniel waited patiently for the English speaker pirate to calm down while checking the video feed he received from the spy metal scarabs. He noticed that the pirate went to another salvaging site where there was another ship anchored in the sea nearby. It seemed to be a freighter ship that the pirates had captured and refitted with some armor and a lot of guns.

"Hey, let\'s go… er… you…" Daniel wanted to address the English speaker pirate but didn\'t know his name.

The English speaker pirate quickly calmed himself down and answered. "My name is… Kato Yuki. Yuki is the first name, and Kato is my family name."

"Yuki?? That mean snow? How cute," Daniel teased, but Kato only smiled lightly. This was not the first time others misunderstood his name, especially by foreigners like Daniel.

"No… It means courage. It uses different Kanji," Kato explained as he wrote on the sand to demonstrate the difference between the Yuki (雪) that means snow and Yuki (勇気) that means courage.

"Ohhhh, so confusing. I think I\'ll call you Kato from now on; it sounds more masculine to me," Daniel said without any teasing or disdain, expressing genuine curiosity.

Kato nodded, appreciating Daniel\'s understanding without using the information to tease or bully him, unlike the pirates or the bullies he faced when he was still a student.
